| The activities of Holland House (Algérie)
"Holland House Algérie" is a private initiative and its activities are quite different from those of the other members of the BBC group. "Holland House Algérie" aims at stimulating the industrial-economical trade-exchange between Algeria and NON-FRENCH SPOKEN countries, mainly in Europe, but also America and the Far East.
How do we realize and stimulate our aims ?:
- Rendering information to international industry and commerce about the possibilities in Algeria, on which three so-called "pillars" can be mentioned for interactive policy: geography, industry and public relations;
- Taking position for Algerian (private) businesses and their European (Dutch i.e..) "counter-parts" in avoiding misunderstandings;
- Assembly of groups of interested businesses and businessmen in Europe and their counter-parts in Algeria within a framework of so-called "pilot-systems".
At this moment and time, the following 'pilots' have started already: "confection" and "leather". In the Oran-region, three Dutch firms have started fabrication of confection. Oran is the confection-region of Algeria. We 'follow' these pilots in their Algerian adventures and arrange publicity in the Dutch (to follow: European-!) business-press. Continuously positive messages out of Algeria will next be transferred to other companies in the same production-fields to European prospects, thus avoiding for them nasty habits - if any - once they wish to start initiatives as well.
What would "Holland House Algérie" mean to your company or organization?
Establishing contacts between Dutch (European) businesses and businessmen. That's all. BBC happens to be the first foreign company in its nature (forwarding) since the civil war and as yet the only one in four years who really invested in Algeria. This should change! "Holland House Algérie" is rendering its services FREE OF CHARGE for the moment.
European companies can be assisted by HHA, if you consider the following initiatives:
- your firm sends production-instructions for the confection-industry in so-called "sub-contracting" on behalf of your European customer;
- your firm participates in a joint-venture with an Algerian (confection-)firm (sub-contracting);
- your firm exports European products to Algeria (commercial activity);
- your firm imports Algerian products for the European market (commercial activity).
